Hi Folks,

I'm an old Nortel telephone guy and am trying to adjust to Avaya Aura System Manager 7.0. We need our incoming and outgoing calls recorded for monthly reports. I've followed all of the instructions for enabling CDR in System Manager but I have no idea how to retrieve the logs. The documentation mentions something about downloading them via FTP using a login name of CDR_User but doesn't indicate where the FTP site is. In sort, I just need the CDR records, even if they are in raw text form. I can import the records into Access and search for what I need. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I think in an appendix of the Utility Server admin guide it shows you how.

So, you can set up CDR in CM to write to disk. That's where the CDR_User ftps to to get the raw data. The Utility Server grabs it and stores it in a database which you don't have access to unless you hack root, then you can dump the postgres database and it's structured nicely. But, you can just grab the raw data and do what you like with it.

I have been using a software product called Tapit-Nova by Trisys call accounting software. It works pretty well. I setup CDR to point to the IP collector of this software and I'm able to run call reports of incoming, outgoing and internal.
