Have limited experience with BCM 200/400 (3.6 version),so may be a dumb question.
Does the CDR information that is put out by the switch require afermarket software, and is it a built in offering or is a keycode needed? This customer wants incoming info only.

CDR output is there, but you will a 3rd party software to sort it.

Acewarlock....thanks for the quick response. At least I now can advise customer they need to spend more money.

Plus you need a PC to act as a server to collect the CDR info from the BCM.

Is there a way to look at the raw data and verify that incoming calls are being processed? They only want to know if more calls are coming in at certain times. They don't care about outgoing ,or which extensions are being accessed.

You can use the BCM Monitor program to watch live calls, just download it from the BCM.

I have thrown together a little VBA app in excel that basically uses keywords to define the beginning and end of a call, it has limitations like there's little logic to deal with transferred calls, but in my particular environment, it's not that important. I match those numbers against a DB from our website to find company name matches...

I won't publish what I have simply because it's pretty specific in use, but just tossing it out as an idea, you *can* put something together if the requirements are relatively simple.

I also transfer logs automatically by FTP and it seems to do the trick...
