Anyone tried to attach a file using CDO from a NAS? If so how did you get it to work?

Our NAS provides a IP address as part of the path for the attached file, and the CDO object hasn't got the required permission to attach it, as far as we can tell. Hence our insterest in seeing if anyone else has come across such a problem, and how or if they solved it.

As you can see, we are a bit vague as this is new ground for us.

Thanks in anticipation.

What if you disable anonymous access in IIS so that the ASP runs in the security context of the user's domain account instead of as the local IUSR_ServerName account?

Another option might be to use FSO to make a local temp copy, attach, send, and delete the temp.

Thanks Sheco,

We copied back to a temp folder and then deleted via the filesystem object - our security staff wouldn't countenance the change to IIS.

regards

John
