I was changing the default DN of my CDN by first de-acquiring the CDN (4809) from Symposium. After refreshing, the display showed de-acquire pending and from the PBX, info code CDN003 16 4809 8 1 22 came up. The code states that the specified CDN was put to default mode by an application on the link number. I then went to LD 23 to change the the DFDN (from 4800 to 4844)of the subject CDN (4809). No error was displayed. When I tried to re-acquire the CDN, it showed acquire pending. Even after refreshing the display several times, the CDN is still showing acquire pending. Any help and advise please. Thank you.

post the code for both the cdn and the dfdn 4844.. that may be the problem

Just check and the status of CDN 4809 is still "acquire pending". The real time display confirms that calls are not being processed via Symposium but are routed to the default DN -ACD 4844.

Before de-acquiring the CDN in symposium, do I have to deactivate the script asscociated with CDN 4809 first?

Please advise. Thanks.

The DB in Symposium and the PBX is outta synch. You'll have to either reboot the Symposium (sometime this work, most of the time it doesn't) or have one of the Symposium geeks on here tell you about the "UNPEND" command from the CLI of the Symposium Server.

No, deactivating the script should not have been necessary.

But, giving the UNPEND procedure means giving out the blue database password...which we do not give do on this forum. Suggest you contact your vendor. Either one of their TAC engineers will be able to fix, or they can have Nortel fix it for you.

Rebooted Symposium server and everthing is back to normal.

Thank you all for your help.

I thought that you could force a symposium monitored TN or CDN set in LD 48 so you don't have to come in after hours to drop Symposium?

sure, you can deacquire the tn or cdn in ld 48, but what you have now is TN or CDN not in synch with each other. Symposium will show the cdn/tn acquire and the pbx will have it as deacquire...enough of these and welcome to DB corruption.
