Hello, i am trying to change the cdn that is assigned to a telephone number in my pbx. Any suggestions?

You can change that in LD 23. Give more detail, and we can provide more in depth resolution.

I currently have one telephone number which has this cdn lets call it cdn 5555 assigned to it, but i want to have cdn 5555 assigned to a different number.

If i am reading this right, you have a DDI number say 0141 111 5555 that goes to this particular CDN (5555)?

If this is correct I beleive you need to make a change to your IDC (Incoming Digit Conversion) table in LD 49

you can print this out and look for the number you require.

Someone should be able to provide the correct prompts, i can not get to my system just now.

Hope this helps.

Stuart

The IDC table takes the DNIS number or the digits your switch sees and converts it to whatever you want internally. Let's say the number is (222)777-1234 and you want it to go to CDN 5555. In your IDC table you'd have:

1234 5555 (if your switch is looking for the last 4 digits)

actually mine uses a 6 before the CDN to transfer, so mine looks like(not exactly sure why they programmed it that way but it works):
1234 65555

If your new number that your want to point to CDN 5555 is (222)777-3456 then you would do a change to the IDC table and add the entry to look like this:
3456 65555

ld 49
chg
idc
cust 0
dcno 1
idgt 3456
65555

Since you can have multiple DNIS going to the same CDN, you want to get rid of the 1234 entry by doing a change, type 1234, enter, x, enter to remove it.
