CD-RW doesn't work any more

hi y'all

Since I installed xp i can still write CD-R's but when I insert a CD-RW in my drive (LG) it does not seem to recognize the disk..

any ideas?

Have you tried using a UDF Reader to recognise the disk.

have you try another RW ?
or try to format your cdrw to see if it shows up there ?

Please be sure you have the latest update from Microsoft. I saw on the Windows Update Website a patch for Windows XP for a problem that has been occuring with CD-R Drives. Find this patch and install it to see if this solves your problem! To get to windows update go to your start menu programs and there should be a shortcut for Windows Update. just reformat your CDRW, you might able to re use it again
