When I out cd in the drive it shows me the files I have on it but wont allow me to copy them. What are my options?

What type of CD is it? Is it one you created yourself or are you running foul of copy protection software on a commercial CD-R?

I made the CD myself and it works fine on my home computer, but here at work where I need to copy files it does that. It might be that the CD drive is locked out but i do have admin rights i just can't find the option do enable it.

Perhaps the Domain Administrator can help you?

What error message is it giving you?

they can disable cd writing capability in exp. it may be an issue with the sys admin.

Is anyone else at your work having problems like this?

Have you tried creating your files on a different brand of CD's?

Can you copy files from a home created Floppy or USB device at work?

Are there any errors mentioned in the Event Viewer?
