CD-R not recognized

Hey,

I have a CD-R of 800 MB but Xp (and Nero) only recognize it as a 700 MB. I already installed the latest firmware for my Plextor but that didn't solve the problem. Anyone an idea ??

CD-R capacity (standard) is 700mb.

thanks for the information. So probably I will only be able to use 700 MB of the 800 MB (which is indicated on the cd 90min/800 MB) ?

There are CD's made with more "space". Look in the help for "overburn". The problem is that, if you set your burner for "overburn", and the disk doesn't support it, you can damage the CD AND the burner!
