Some of you probably have CD RWs (CD burners). My gut feeling tells me
that I should go with TEAC'S CD-W540E (I already have Teac's CD ROM
and Floppy drive), but some people tell me that LG-8400B is a better
way to go. Undoubtedly, Teac's CD ROM drives are better than LG's
(Teac MTBF: 100,000 POH, LG: 50,000 POH, also Teac reads low quality
CDs), but I found that LG's writer has MTBF: 125,000 POH, while Teac
has 100,000 POH (duty 10%)). Also a good indicator is weight (where heavier is
better): Teac: 1.2kg, LG: 0.9kg. Also, TEAC has 8MB buffer, while LG
has only 2MB. BTW, LG is 13€ cheaper.

I need your opinions and thoughts, your experiences and advices.

i think your going way to in depth in the process, either one is good, it is a choice of preference, i prefer lg over teac, but i prefer tdk overall.

Teac build quality and the 8mb buffer swings it for me, LG are good but are more of a high volume cheaper unit (forget the figures, the Teac's weight as you put it, speaks volumes about it's build quality and hence likely reliability and longevity) Martin Please let members know if there advice has helped any.
