CD Autostart not working 1

I can't get CD Autostart to work in Win98. I have the correct settings in device manager and in TweakUI. Any ideas?

I have a system here that if you don't clear the cd list after music cd. A data cd won't auto run. I think that if you open my computer, or any other folder, and go view-folder Options.<br>

when the window opens up, select the file types tab, it may take a while to load. Scroll down, and find the icon labeled audio cd, or something like that. click edit.<br>

the actions box should have one parameter: Play. select the Play action, and click edit. under the application used to perform action line, the box should read something like: C:\windows\cdplayer.exe /play . Disable autoprotect if using Norton Antivirus, or any form of antivirus. Usually you will get an &quot;isset error&quot; when autoprotect is running.

Have tried all the above.&nbsp;&nbsp;Still not working.&nbsp;&nbsp;Guess I will just have to live without it.

Just another thought - you could try installing a third-party cd player. these usually have the option of making their program the default when a cd is entered. this would run the program when an audio cd is entered.&nbsp;&nbsp;These third-party cd players also usually have CDDB support, so you wont have to enter the cd name, track info manually. <p>theEclipse<br><a href=mailto:eclipse_web@hotmail.com>eclipse_web@hotmail.com</a><br><a href=robacarp.webjump.com>robacarp.webjump.com</a><br>**-Trying to build a documentation of a Javascript DOM, crossbrowser, of course.
