Found a few threads with this 1 but still need a couple of clarifications:

CCC insatalled on 2003 SP2, on different subnet than client pcs. Routing between.

1 does the CCC server need to run as a domain user with admin rights?
2 do I need to share the whole CCC drive or just the CCC folder and allow access permissions to the clients?
3 Does the Guest account need to be enabled also on Server?
4 The client connects using Named Pipes and not IP routing, are there issues when connecting via a gateway? Can I enter the IP address directly into CCV, will it pick it up?

thanks to all...

I can only partially answer your questions:

3. I could never get it to work with guest account. If anyone has I would like to know how. I had to put the PC in the same workgroup as the server and create a user on the server which matches the client. If both PC and server are on the same domain then this shouldn't be an issue for you?
4. Yes I have ours running like this

Thanks

Andrew

One setup can be:CCC is installed by the book on one subnet. Just need to share the CCC folder.
Then on the the client PC in the other subnet we had to put the CCC server name and ip address in the host file to allow CCV to work (\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts)
