I have a
3300 Mxe Expanded Running Version 10.1.2.16 (4.1 SP2)
Whilst troubleshooting some isdn issues , I activated CCS trace enable continuous.
This helped me determine my problems .
I cant de-activate it ?
Every time I enter any maintenance command it comes up non unique match ?

CCS trace Disable has the same result.

Is there another method to turn off the trace? ( other than a reboot)

i have seen this before , but that had nothing to do with the ccs trace command. but you can try it....
you have entered an command that needs an next command. as in busy .... when trunk is occupied you have to say force, courtesy down or quit.
so try following:
on the commdand line : no
on the commdand line : quit
on the commdand line : cancel

hope it helps you find the right command....

If it is trunk busy you will need to type

force
Courtesy (CD)
Quit

If it is waiting for a command and to be sure I would telnet to the controller (sx2000) and when it asks for username type system and password sx2000
you should then be able to see if it is waiting for a specific option or not
If it is not waiting then just type ccs trace dis

Yes that was the trick , at the bottom of my telnet window , I can see 1 Logout
I assume taht that is indicating the key required to exit from the console.

DoEs the console require some sort of terminal emulator as I have tried 1 ctrl1 alt1 etc and it still didnt logout

Try <esc> then 1 together

its not the logout that causing this. just try typing quit and see what happens.

No doing the CD from the telnet session fixed the issue
I wanted to know how to logout properly - it seems typing logout did that.

I saw a Mitel tech get into the system via that interface once , I assume that anything done there is unsupported, but are there any other useful commands that can be done from within the telnet session?

It is the old sx2000 call control interface many of the forms are now disabled for editing (once common data sharing is enabled)
However the maintenance screen (which is what you were in) is a much quicker way of entering 'some' not all commands

SMDR logs, CCS trace etc. are easier to follow as the web browser does not update in realtime.
I use a console emulator Procomm Plus which enable me to capture and pause logs and traces and is easier to read.

Yes you guessed it this method of accessing the controller is not supported by Mitel unless expressly advised to do so by tech support.
