HELP ME! PLEAASSSEE!

Reboot PC, disconnect network, login as local admin, delete the folders "c:\windows\temp" and "c:\users\<login name>\AppData\Temp" and try again.

Indeed, it is a user that is not allowed to install SQL and probably also not CCR.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

also - turn off UAC

Cant reboot or log in locally, its a Virtual Machine, I can however delete that information, UAC is off. Our SQL is off site, in our network, but in a cluster of other Databases, so I dont need to install SQL on the machine. CCR is a PITA!

It is still a user credential issue.
You need a depicted machine for CCR only.
Where the database is does not matter add long CCR can reach it and can read and write too it.

My credentials of my user are domain/enterprise admin, they have no restrictions to access anything.

You MUST be a local admin and NOT member of a Domain.
Although IT guys say "These accounts have all rights" then in my experience that is not enough.
A Domain policy may be a pain in the *ss as well.

Are you talking about during the install? For the services? I use the local admin, for the DB connection I use a full access DB user they set up for me, it connects just fine....its just fails right at the end, so this error does not mean its not able to connect to the DB?

and THIS is the reason I don't like the CCR. Installation can be a real PITA.

Sorry I am not helpful and just harping on CCR shortcomings but a lot of guys here prefer third party apps. Xima Chronicall comes to mind.

Why didn't tell this to start with, has nothing to do with local admin.

full access DB user
appearently NOT, you need sa access with full permissions AND you need to know a alot on SQL Server.

You better use a standalone SQL instance.

It IS a full access db user, set up with all the same access as the "sa" user, and using sa is terrible general practice. The script that runs at the end of the install is looking locally anyways..it verifies the account during the install when you put in the SQL Db information, Im going to avaya with this, its clear they didnt do their due diligence. Thanks for the ideas, I think hsm idea might work, but Im not going to install a SQL instance just because avaya is lazy...

dip tippy know why I Luke Xima and not CCR?
Xima is a ten minute install without Amy issues.
It works better and in most cases it had better options.

I dont like this software, nor do I think I should have to go to chronicall to get my agents stats. Just so you all know, installing a local SQl instance did not help at all, not with connecting to the one we have elsewhere at least. Im afraid I might have to connect to the local one, just so it can run that stupid script, then reinstall and point it to the old one...dumb, avaya dropped the ball on this one.

Yes it does.

Now I have to explain to my Customer Service Manager, that we cannot continue to report in the same fashion that we have for the past 3 years because avaya sucks at making a decent reporting software.

Sad but true. even avaya will tell you CCR sucks.

Chronicall is the only way to go. Its not perfect but its much better.......
