Hello Again

I am making a deployment of CCR on a Dell Power Edge 850 Server running W2k3 R2 SP2

in capacity the server can run "all" avaya apps without trembling.

but as far I remember got some fun installing the Contact Store and the old CCC, database conflicts to be honest.

Now that I will have VMPRO, CCR and Contact Store (and the MSDE, and IIS in the background) would like to know if there are any compatibility issues or a best practice sequence of installing.

hope to hear that the tip of the needle will be more than enough

version info would help.

It is best to assign a full drive or at least a complete partition of a drive for contact store - the application can monitor disk space etc. better if there is no other app on same volume.

I dont see any issue why there cant be multiple database instances.

In any case CCR is on SQL Express (free) or SQL server.

I think SQL and the MSDE will not like each other

on the move...

I have opted for having to different machines for the applications.

Since cannot ask the customer for two more machines I made it through microsoft virtual server 2005

machine 1 - CCR MSDE IIS
mahcine 2 - VMPRO, CONTACTSTORE

as said above, CCR needs SQL 2005/2005 Express not MSDE

yeah i tried also using CCR and contact store on the same server but cannot get the contact store working. i think the SQL 2005 Express and the MSDE cannot be used at the same time. anyone got it working on the same server w/o using VMwares?

You better install CCR on one and vmpro with
cs on the other.

honey, i fried the IP Office !!!

The CS 7.8 uses PostgresSQL, can this co-exist with SQL 2005 Express for CCR?

No it can not.
You need to use a separate (virtual) system.

I run VMP, one-X Portal, CCR and ContactStore all on a dual core box with 4GB of RAM and Windows 2008. I don't suggest it but you can do it.

ContactStore uses PostgreSQL so it doesn't hurt the SQL Express that CCR uses.

Hmm thougt it would bit each other.
I have ccr, 1xp and vmpro on the same machine running smoothly although I had problems with installing vmpro after installing ccr and then 1xp.
It just didn't want to install.
After a couple of attempts and reboots it is running fine now.
