Hello all,
In the latest CCR im taking he following error when trying to export ccr reports in excel format:
"Error in File (xxx).rpt: Invalid export DLL or export format"

I can have all other available formats like .pdf or crystal without problems.

Have you ever seen this before ?

Server is 2003 SRV R2 clean installation for IPO services

Regards

Do you have Excel (office) installed on the server ?
This is needed for exporting this file type to what ever you need.

honey, i fried the IP Office !!!

Sarcasm, it's only one of the services I offer.

Did you install office before or after installing CCR ?
What version of ccr are you using ?

As said its Win2003 SRV R2.
All IPO applications including CCR (6.1.1.84)are the latest but i had the same problem with previous release.
MS Office was installed after CCR installation.

I would put a bet on that you need to install office before installing CCR :)

I just have a feeling about this, i have no proove for this.

I suspect you are correct, it can't make the file associations and links etc without it being installed before hand, again guessing :)

If its related with which installed first, whats my options?
Already reinstalled CCR without any success.

Also the .doc exports (Word) working fine without errors.

I have the same problem at one of two sites with CCR. I have found it will only work if CCR is installed on a 64 bit server. It has failed on every 32 bit server i have tried it on.

If only my girlfriend was as usefull as tek-tips

I have seen it too on two 2008 servers.
I am not sure if they are 32 or 64 bit.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Iv just installed CCR on two more servers one 32 one 64 fresh installs. only the 64 will allow the export. Doesnt matter if account control is on or if ms office was installed on the server befor or after ccr. Strange its normaly stuff not working on 64 bit, not the other way round!

Hy, but is not responsible for the crystal report file creation. We also have the problem on multiple systems with the same dll error. But only if manually in Excel report is created. With Scheduller and send it by mail it is ok. And it also works with Word, with or without the office suite.
server 2008 64bit, Office Suite 2010, SQL Server 2008, IPO 6.1 (5) IPO 6.1 (12), are CCR6.1.1.84
Avaya for a ticket already for months, but no solution (December 2010)

Have you tested the export with Excel actively opened at the time of the export?

No, closed. I would like to create the file only and not consider it.

Wasn't sure if the export would work with Excel open. I know that it is not the best solution but possibly a workaround if it works.

No, same with open Excel error. As written, the creation of the file should work thanks to crystal report without Office package. Excel no corresponding manual system requirements

noWolfi, you have opened a case but they closed it?
Why did they close it?
It is a common issue if a lot of people have it.
