read the CCR document for your release

you just need to be familiar with what it offers and then ask the customer what they want from the wallboards, reports, agent & supervisor visibility etc

then you would have to pass this to the engineer (thats the key bit because it never happens and adds so much time on site)

BUT

if you had spent any time on this forum you would NOT be installing CCR

OK I'll write my own if Avaya dont do one.

Thanks Maxwell1001, I know what it offers, but I want to try to standardise what questions our engineers ask, and create a standard template to try to prevent each person in the company asking different questions, missing different questions, etc etc.

Anyway why not CCR?

read posts on here if your not sure but its got so many issues, reports dont add up correctly, crashes etc there is better out there...

I have not used it but everyone is raving about Xima Chronicall on here

Interesting, I will look at that in more depth, thanks.

We are commited to CCR for the short term, cant be as bad as CCC can it?

You will learn the hard way.

i didnt mind CCC...bit of a nightmare install (until you got your head round it) but it did what it was supposed to do

ADD UP CALLS!!!

Now now Maxwell. CCR can add up calls just fine. It just doesn't use the same math that the rest of the world uses. If you run a summary report with no filters and no grouping and NEVER run a details report that contains the same information you will never notice this.

CCR, like CCC is just fine so long as you bother to learn how to read it. I suggest a good calculator, a pad of graph paper and a degree in advanced mathematics.

I think Kyle was being a bit sarcastic Maxwell.

I suggest a good calculator, a pad of graph paper and a degree in advanced mathematics.

couldnt agree more really

my maths is shocking but even i can see when sat infront of a customer with various reports printed out that something aint right...

if i can see there is mistakes and Avaya knew i was spotting this i think they would look at resolving them because its serious...

Sad thing is. I had a call with the product manager and the development team on my observations and frustrations and they mentioned Chronicall several times on the call. Seems that even they know which product they need to emulate. Sad that it is taking them so long to do so.

Oh boy.

Any tips for making the install as painless as possible?

Is there any config that should be avoided?

i wouldnt be afraid to advise them on another product...its best in the long run

Shame on Avaya to let this CCR mess going this long. Xima here we come .
