I will admit first off that I am not a phone guru and I appreciate all the help anyone can offer! If I'm not giving enough info, I'll try to clarify as much as possible.

We moved our phone system to our new location and I needed to re-do the greeting and CCR tree. I've been able to do everything the operation guide has told me, except for one thing; I figured out how to transfer calls from the auto attendant to ONE extension, but I can't figure out how to transfer to a group. There's nothing in the book about transferring to groups, just creating group lists for bulk messages. We had this kind of call routing set up in the old office, but I wasn't the one who did it and the guy who did has dropped off the face of the earth. We've tried other phone guys, but we've only been able to find people proficient in newer systems.

So, to be clear, when a customer calls in and presses 1 for sales, the call gets transferred to extensions 22,23,24,25 in the sales office. Etc, etc...

Thank you in advance!

Okay, so I was in the right mindset. How do you create hunt groups? I can't seem to get any info on that when I google or read the manual.

Depends on rel of software.
Under sys programming

System prgrming

Hunt groups

Show group:_
HGnn:<DN>
Member DNs
M001: Appr&Ring

Thanks everyone. :)

I have two books- the Set up and Operation Guide and the MICS 1.1 System Coordinator guide. There is nothing that specifically states "hunt groups," though. Hence my frustration! Is "Group Pickup" what I'm looking for here? Or "Line Pool?"

Give me a computer and I'm a freaking genius, I assure you. I feel like I woke up in Russia one morning without knowing I was going to be there or knowing the language.

Sorry I didnt see Norstarboy suggesting Hunt Groups.
This is why you need to post versions of all in your first posts otherwise we have no idea what you have for software.

You need 4.0 and up for Hunt Groups
You also need to be at 3 digit DN/Ext numbers.

DN- is this an extension? Dumb question, but I'm very much new to this.

That's just it, I'm not sure- I've wondered since I've been given this project if I don't have the wrong Coordinator Guide. We only have 2 digit extensions. Is there a way I can find out what I have? I'm going to have a totally gray head by the time this is done LOL

If it helps, to get into the admin area, I have to use Feat**266344, not feat **23646.

"Do you know how to program and have access to Configuration?
We can use Answer DN's in this case.

Also you sure you have a MICS? they are usually 3 digit DN's"

I never properly answered this. I can get into the config area and I've been doing some things, but I've never done this from scratch (routing lines, etc).

Sets&Terms/2X/LineAccess/AnswerDN (DN = Directory Number - Ext #)

1 hour charge from a tech.

Find an unused DN # i.e 34
Assign 34 as the Answer DN key to all sets required.
Point CCR Tree Patch X to DN 34
