Mornin' all,

I know CCR & One x Portal should go on a server based OS, But I want to put it on a machine with Windows 7 Pro for demo purposes, it won't be used in a live environment. But i've been told it just won't work, not sure why as 2008R2 & 7 aren't too dissimilar when it comes down to it.

Has anybody had any experience of what doesn't work?

The services won't start for some reason.
You can setup a virtual machine with win2k3 server and use that instead.

By the way, do you really intend to sell CCR? Do you sleep well? If you want to keep it that way then con't sell CCR, sell Xima Chronicall or similar.
Makes you and your customer al lot happier.
One-X Portal 8.1 is a very good tool.

Cheers intrigrant,

I just do the IT side of things (which turns out is everything with a plug on) i'm going to have a look at that Chronicall, i've not heard it being mentioned around the office. I might just throw 2k8 on, but I sometimes struggle for device drivers & wanted an easy life, but this is Avaya & they don't do easy where software is concerned.

Thanks again )

Xima does not need a server but can also be installed on XP, Vista or Windows 7 too.
CCR and One-X Portal do need a server type of OS (server 2003/2008 or the Linux apps server)

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Thanks tlpeter,

Just thought i'd ask as 7 & 2008r2 share the same kernel & aren't really all that much different. Wonder what stops it working? anyway that's for another day... Just thought I could be lazy & not put a new OS on.

Then it is just a parameter in the msi file to be changed..... just like the minimum amount of RAM needed...
I'll take a look at it if I feel better, now I have a fever
