CCMA and SCCS 5.0 RTD compatibility?

Hi,


We are presently preparing for a upgrade from SCCS 5.0 to CCMS 6.0 in a multi site enviroement in which we'll have 2 CCMA and 15 CCMS. To start our testing, We have build a CCMA and can access our existing SCCS 5.0 servers no problem but we can't seem to get the RTD function working.

We get the message "The system could not retrieve any data....."

Does anyone know if Real Time Reporting is compatible between CCMA and SCCS 5.0?

We were hoping this would work as we transistion all our sites.

Yes - you need to double check your RSM IP assignments, unicast/multicast settings, increase TTL to 64, restart SDP service, etc. Run through the configuration per the Installation Guide.

Thanks for your answer. I've modified the symposium settings and was able to get the test site where the CCMA and one Symposium server are in the same building working.

Do you know if it's possible to get this setup to work over a WAN that doesn't have multicast enable on the routers? We are very limited on what we can do with our WAN and multicast isn't an option at the moment. I see all my other sites symposium servers but again I'm not able to run real-time display for them.

You need multicast signalling between the CCMA and the CCMS to pass Real Time Data.

You can use unicast between CCMA and supervisor displays.
