I'm very new to CCM, so I'll apologize up front to anything dumb I'm sure to say. We have a CCM 4.2 set up in a test enviromnet and I've tried to set it up so we can call between it and our Avaya G3 ext. to ext. via IP trunks. I can call from the avaya to the cisco no problem. When i call from the Cisco to the Avaya, I get a half ring on my Avaya phone and the Cisco phone goes fast busy. I'm assuming my Cisco route pattern is okay because it does try to connect before going fast busy. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

So I assume you are doing h323?
make sure you enable Media Termination Point on the gateway in ccm configuration.
This is a check box you need to check.

Yes, it is set up H323 and I do have the MTP box checked. I've changed a couple of other things and can now dial the extension on the Avaya and the call connects but there is no audio and after 10 seconds it goes fast busy. I can still call from the Avaya to the CCM with no problem other than I don't hear ringing. Any ideas on the no audio when calling form the CCM to Avaya?

Try turning direct media path off in the Ip trunk setup. I had a problem similar to what you are describing. I have an IP phone in a remote locale and I could not get any audio. I turned of Direct Media Path and it worked.
