I have a generic server, ie. a non-MCS server on which I need to install CCM 4. I have applied the registry hacks posted in the forums. The installation procedure starts off OK, but half way through the installation it fails. The error message doesn't say much. All it says is that there was an error and that I need to check the log files. Setup just passes the phase where it says "Installing Cisco Directory", that's after putting the second CD in, and then fails. I have NOT applied any OS upgrade. All I did was apply the following:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Spirian\System Info\OS Image]
"Version"="2000.2.5"
Could this be why setup fails half way through the installation?
