Hmm,
Thought I could help!
The new CCDA tests - note that you study the following topics really well.

ECN model - enterprise composite network model - hmmm...u need a resource to find out what this is ???? --- go to cisco.com and get the Cisco SAFE blueprint. It has some few descriptions about the basic structure of the model. Believe me or not! I studied for my CCDA, this topic, just from the SAFE blueprint, and i really got some bunch of questions from this...hope that helps!

SAFE blueprint - read/glance/scan through it...once atleast to get an overview of what SAFE is,

VOIP - Know a bit about VoIP.

IPV6 - read some good docs (search at cisco or google) for ipv6 docs. I got a bunch of questions from these too...

Hmm the test is not that easy as you might think....and not that hard either....Note also that score for passin is high - 825. So beware of that...You cant go wrong on too many questions.....

Hope that helps!

The CCDA exam (new one) is anything but easy, it helps if you have a CCNA already, but design is way different than implementation. The Designing Cisco Networks book is a good start, but is NOT enough to insure that you can pass the 640-861 exam. I passed the CCDA in March of this year, so I don't have to deal with the new exam content until 2006 (whew).

Ive been thinking about the CCDA in view of the self-study problems at the moment with CCNP.

The CCDA would be a great addition to CCNA and you would learn a lot, to my mind we should be able to design and implement, however I don't think it would be very easy at all!!
