Does anyone know of a good CCDA Bootcamp anywhere, that I can send people to. These people have no prior networking experience. I would like to get them certified as soon as possible. Any suggestions??
No prior experience? Kiss it off.. you are wasting your money and their time. The CCNA and CCDA both assume about 1-2 years experience working with networks at a very general level. I went to a bootcamp for my CCNA/DA and there was one fellow there who was clueless.. he had a MCSE but he was a paperhanger.. by the end of the 2nd day of ISO layers, IP subnetting etc, he was in the corner playing half-life on the net. He did pass the test in the end for the CCNA but admitted it was by luck.
If you INSIST on bankrolling this then take a look at ACREW in Colorado. They have top notch instructors, they feed you well, they keep the student out of town so they can be distracted by beer, wine, women, song and movies.. They are not cheap but they are one of the best in the market. Ask when Todd will be teaching as an instructor. He is one their best.
I found the CCDA exam to be VERY challenging. I doubt seriously that a bootcamp will bring these people anything of lasting value. I suspect that you are just shooting for a discount with Cisco by meeting the CCDA quota. Since your people are very unlikely to pass, you may find that hiring skilled people is the better option. Even if you put them up against the exam enough times to get a passing score, what good will they be to your customers?
