hi all

trying to send a report by email automatically at set times of the day. I have all the settings correct as far as the report goes, I also have the smtp working.

error shows:
Could not access 'CDO.Message' object.

anyone have experience with this, thanks

Make sure your SMTP gateway will allow relays from the CCC host. Z

i am just using the network smtp which i also use for sending vm pro emails. the vm pro works fine but the ccc gives the error. does the error relate to smtp problems or something to do with the reports?

thanks for input Z

The error relates to a missing CDO Dll

The Collaboration DData Oobjects are an optional part of the Microsoft Outlook install.

Do a custom install and look for them...

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

Thanks Matt

Customer is using Outlook express, this is proabably the issue??

I don't think that OE is the issue -

Try checking the that the CDO stuff exists in the Windows/system32 directory

You shoudl have a Cdosys.dll, and cdonts.dll and possibly a Cdoex.dll

Register each one again

start->run->cmd

cd \windows\system32

regsvr32 cdosys.dll

(you should get a box saying "dll register in cdosys.dll succeeded)

Repeat regsvr command for each of the cdo dlls

Try that and see what happens

Could not access CDO message objet just means that the reporter cannot find the right account on the exchange server.

There is something wrong in your set up.

Try logging your CCC reporter service on as the user account.
