Having issues with emailing reports. They say task completed successfully. Just don't receive emails. I can send from the express client on the machine and receive just fine. Any ideas???
 
check that deltaserver on the ccc server is correctly configure to talk to your mail server (it uses SMTP)
this is often blocked by firewalls & Anti Virus Software
 
I'm able to send email from the delta server. That works well.
 
Can anyone think of anything I could be missing. Something small or stupid.
 
CCC reporter don't use delta server to send e-mail. It's configured in reporter admin console. Set the SMTP server and restart CCC reporter service.
 
I'm using the smtp server that part of 2003 server and I'm pointing Reporter to the address of the server which is the address of the computer thats running the reporter. Task says it completes successfully but never get email. Relay is also turned on. Any other thoughts???
 
If the reporting log says it's successful the problem should be in you SMTP server settings.
 
I almost always use the customers mailserver for sending reports.
The time i've set up the local smtp server it's usually the domain or delivery settings that are wrong.

You can test if you can send the reports to an external domain, sometimes the server only has problem sending mail to it's own domain.
 
Customer has hosted service with godaddy so thats why I was using the mail server.
