Hi all.

I have installed in my lab environment the CCC application(5.0.56) and i have an issued when i am trying to run reports from the CCC Reporter.

The error message says "[DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (ConnectOpen()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied.

All the Server and the client Modules resides on my PC. The CCC also uses the Msde Database which is also installed on my PC.

It's obvious that somethings wrong with the DB but i can not find what it is.
Any ideas ?

Thanks.

It looks like the same error.

nice one.

thanks man. i'll let u know about the progress.

i followed the instructions but i couldn't make it work.

On my computer i had Coctact's Store MSDE Running.
The CCC's default database (SDXArchiver)was running upon CS MSDE.
I don't know if there was a conflict there, but as soon as i removed CS MSDE and i installed CCC with it's own MSDE, it just worked.

So, i assume that those applications can not exist together.(is that right?)

An other Issue is that when i try to run Reports,eg Agents Activity, i get an error saying
"Error in File C:\Program Files\Avaya\IP Office\CCC\Reporting\Reports
Agent Activity.rpt:The request could not be submitted for background processing"
(Sometimes i do get reports but sometimes i get this error)
Could be me causing this error for some reason or there is some kind of bug here?

This is my first attempt to run CCC and i came across with many errors.

Could u please give me some advises so i can run the application as smoothly as possible?

Thanks...

There is definitely a conflict with CCC and Contact Store. They cannot live on the same server. Been there, done that :)

It is possible but then you need CCC to use sql instead of msde

thanks guys...any advises about the error i mentioned?

( "Error in File C:\Program Files\Avaya\IP Office\CCC\Reporting\Reports
Agent Activity.rpt:The request could not be submitted for background processing" )

good tip for CCC - always do a clean OS install and follow the manual step by step. If you do step 4 then 3 it won't work.

Don't even waste your time trying to figure out the error messages.

Step by step installation. you got that right.
One thing i don't get with the CCC installation steps, is that i don't know if i should run the DBUplift4.EXE.

There is no Upgrade Issue here. I do a clean install.
The MSDEInstSP3.EXE first, then CCC SETUP.EXE (all the clients /server components are reside on my PC).

Do you guys think that the error message appears because i have not yet run the DBUplift4.EXE?

I am taking this test right now and i will let u know...

those windows application are so stupid.

While i was in the middle of the installation, when The CCC Reporting Admin Console menu showed up, i try to give a port number ang i got this error.

"CCC Port Number entered Already in Use".

I have try all the given ports but i always get the same error.I bypassed this step and I restarted my machine but still the same.

You do not need the uplift if you are doing a new install. The uplift is used to convert version 4 data files to version 5.

What operating system are you using?

Windows XP PRO EN with SP 3.

I am currently stack in the error "CCC Port Number entered Already in Use".

I am creating a VMware machine right now so i can continue with that.

CCC needs to be installed on a server operating system. The info below is from Avaya's knowledgebase.

The CCC Server needs one of the following operating systems installed.

Microsoft Windows 2000 Server (SP3 or above)

Microsoft Windows 2003 Server

Make sure that the operating system has had all the Windows critical updates installed and that the following programs have been installed.

Internet Explorer 5.5 (SP1) or above. If this has come pre-loaded, please check that the version is 5.5 or above.

Before loading the CCC software the pre-installation requirements need to be completed. These are listed below and detailed on the following pages.

Modify the operating system.

Install Internet Information Services (IIS). If this has been pre-loaded, please check that the version is 1.1 or above.
Note: It is vital that IIS is installed prior to .NET. If these are installed in the wrong order, remove .NET (Add/Remove programs) and then re-install.

Install ASP.NET if using a Windows 2003 Server

Amend the Event Log settings

Install the database.

MS Outlook needs to be installed if the Delta Server email error notification is going to be used.

For the better performance and operation, Yes it does, but it can also be installed on standalone PC.

I tested it today on my VMware machine, with Clean OS as "TheTaker" advised (Windows XP PRO EN with SP 3), and it was running just fine.

No more errors now, so i think i am fine for the moment.

Thanks guys...
