CCC installation problem

I am attempting to install CCC on a client pc, and continue to get a fatal error in the installtion process:

Call Center View
CCV Language files
Access is denied.

OS Windows 2000 Pro SP4
CCC Version 5
I am logged in as a local administrator of the computer.

Any ideas on what is happening here
 
Not sure IIS is the problem here, as this is a client PC. IIS is only used for the Reporting Server. May be worth checking .net though, and downloading the latest version.

Has the PC ever had CCC installed on it before? If so, you may still have a DLL which is loading or something.

What is the media for installation (CD, LAN) and what is the source of the file (download, reseller). There is a chance your media is corrupt.

Lastly, you may want to check local drive and folder permissions have not been modified. Some users think that changing security on the root of C: is some kind of benefit, but in fact it modifies the WINNT and System32 folders, which can stop installations from working. There is a document somewhere on the MS Knowledge Base about what folder permissions should be on C, WINNT, Program Files, System32, etc..
 
I installed IIS, and the installation of CCC then propmted me to install .net.

The problem continued after that.

This is a new system and a new install of CCC on this PC. We have run the install program at least 10 times, it fails with the same message each time.

I am installing from the CD which was provided by Avaya with the system purchase.

I will take a look at the folder permissions, but the user on this pc is not a tinkerer, so I don't think this is the issue.
