Hi, I have an question with regards to CCAD.
Right now I have a CCMM and CCT6.0 whereby I wanted to setup a CCAD on a laptop for testing.

First I tested the CCAD with the following information:
Creating a user as testusr on CCT server with full computer name as sgcct. Its not joined to domain.
On NCCT Console, I created a user as sgcct\testusr, workstation as sgcct and with the phone posid, extn, TN.
Next login to the server as testusr and open CCAD and it works, i can log into the phone, etc.

Next I tested the CCAD with the following information:
Creating a user as testlaptop on my laptop with full computer name as sg-cct.test.corp-ind whereby sg-cct is the computer name and test.corp-ind is the domain name.
On NCCT Console, I then created a user as sg-cct.test.corp-ind\testlaptop, workstation as sg-cct.test.corp-ind and with the phone posid, extn, TN.
Next login to my laptop as testlaptop and open CCAD and it doesn't work. Everything is greyed out.

Is it because of the wrong definition of user and workstation on the NCCT Console?
Any idea what could be the problem?
Thanks.

hi gabkhorh,

At 1st. to make your check about the mapping for your windows user and the terminals >>>> you must loggin through the referance client in the CCT.

2nd. If you can login normally from the referance client
now the problem will be in your machine as follow

- check the host name file
- check you install the (frame work .NET, security ptch and SP1) you will find these in the CC.DVD
- finally confirmed that your laptop added in the domain.

Thanks

Hi M.Saad,

Just to state again.
The CCT and CCMM are local servers (not joined to domain).

I have completed the following:

1. Tested the reference client in CCT and its working.
2. Created a local user on CCT server and tested the CCAD, verified to be working.
Hence when all are local, ie. not joined to domain, there are no issues.

Now i created a user on my laptop, as the laptop is joined to my company's domain, hence the full computer name also consist of the domain.
I tested it again with this laptop user but encountered the problem as mentioned previously. In addition, saw from the event viewer that there is an authentication error.

Hence wish to find out can CCAD be tested in this way whereby the servers are local servers but the laptop user is a domain user? Or must all devices be joined to the domain including server then only CCAD will work?

Thanks.

Sorry , but you can't test CCAD in that way.

All devices joined the same domain.

Hi M.Saad

Noted. So basically its either all devices are local or all devices in same domain. Right? Thanks.
