Hello,
I am aware of problem when using IE 7 and cc6, but does anyone know how to fix this problem. When using IE 7, the client software when connecting to the ccma or ccms the client asks for for SOAP software to be installed and also to add the ccma/ccms server to the trusted list of internet explorer, but even though they are it still asks for it.

Any idea? is there some sort of install etc that I need?

I have not experienced this problem but here is some info from misc. Nortel doc's. Hope it helps.

Known Issues on first CCMA Login
--------------------------------
Configure Internet Explorer 7.0
CCMA 6.0 SUS0301 includes updates to support Internet Explorer 7.0 however you must
configure extra Internet Explorer Settings for CCMA to function correctly.
Please refer to the Managing Security Chapter in the CCMA I&M Guide: P.1796
Configuring Internet Explorer

3.2.2.1 Installation of CCMA SU03 causes SOAP Errors
If you have changed the CCMA Server Name after the CCMA Application installation and
ran the ChangeSOAPSrv Utility to update the SOAP files with the new name, then SOAP
Errors will appear after installing CCMA SU03. This issue is due to removal of previous
pep's and installation of SU03 where the Server SOAP name was reverted to the original
Soap (Server) name and caused issues on running the CCMA Application
Solution:
Run ChangeSOAPSrv utility to change Server Name being referenced in the SOAP Files to
the current CCMA Server Name.
This issue will be resolved in CCMA SU04 where SOAP technology will no longer be used
by the CCMA Application.

I just came back from my GK Training for CCM. This was the first thing I asked because the instructor had us using IE7 for the whole class.

The issue is that IE7 blocks all Active X controls. What you need to do to fix this is as follows:
1. Got to the Internet Options menu make sure pop ups are off.
2. Restore all of the defaults in each of the tabs.
3. Close and reopen the browser
4. Go back to the Internet Options menu
5. Under Privacy -> Local Intranet select custom level and enable all Active X controls. Do not prompt or you will get prompts every two seconds in CCM.
6. Under Trusted sites add the following: about:blank and your CCM Server name/IP address.
7. Go to Custom level in Trusted sites and enable the Active X controls there as well.
(note: since this is intranet and trusted sites, internet security is not compromised. This is not done for internet sites, and they may remain on the standard security level).
8. Save your work and close the browser.
9. Reopen, and go to your CCM server, you may be prompted to reinstall SOAP, but it will install normally.

Let me know if this works for you.
