I have a weird way of studying for tests, I need repetition in other words when I used to study for math tests in college I would do sample math problems over and over again until I got the concept. I am looking for categorized CCNA sample questions, so for example if I am studying subnetting I would like to do only subnetting questions until I got subnetting and then do a bunch of Routing Protocal questions until I understood that. Does any one know where I can find categorized questions like this, every where I have looked for sample questions either on the internet or in books, the questions jump all over the place. Thanks for any replies.

Hi Octaivian10,

I have a similar trait of needing to go through things over and over till it sinks in permanently. I found the Cisco Exam Certification Guide for INTRO and ICND by Wendell Odom (two books)to be the best for categorizing subjects. They each come with a CD that has an exam simulator which allows to specify exactly what subjects you are tested on e.g. Subnetting, Frame-Relay etc. You can also specify if you want INTRO (640-821), ICND (640-811) or CCNA (bit of both) level of questions.

I found it the to be the best exam simulator that I have used and was invaluable in getting me my CCNA!

Hope this helps

The CD's included with the Ciscopress books were good. If you are wanting a simulator to practice commands on a switch/router, I think Boson NetSim has a good product.

I've used SelfTest Software and Preplogic practice exams. I think SelfTest had the better test engine, but Preplogic made a good attempt at adding in some simulations as part of the test.

Problem I had with Preplogic is they were inconsistent in the command structure...example...have to setup 2 interfaces...one you HAD to type in at the prompt "interface serial 0/0". On the next interface you HAD to type in "int se 0/1". It was looking for exact verbage. Which is ok, but my suggestion then is don't abbreviate any of the commands.
