Hi all
I have my internal Email server (Exchange2000), I have mailboxes for all employees there.
our mail address is like (xxx@ourcompany.com)
now i have reserved the address (ourcompany.com) and i had made a hosting there.
I did the email hosting there too for some of the employees , but i cant make this for all employess , first cuz it is expensive , and second because i want soem emoplyees just use the internal email!!
there is a feauter in the hosting site that if i get any emailto (unknown adresss@ourcompany.com)it will forward it to a given email address.
I have heared that using this feature i can setup my exchange 2000 server to get all emails through this email address then forward to other mail boxes which is defined inside my exchange internal server not on thewebsite hosting.
So anyone can help where can i do that in the Exchange??
THank you

In Exchange System Manager go to the properties of your SMTP Virtual Server-Messages Tab - and fill in the catchall account in the "Send Copy of Non-Delivery report to"
Anything not recognised by Exchange will got to the account specified.
And turn of NDR to the internet.

hi marcs41
when i did this it sends me a msg of undelivery report , it doesn't forward email to anywhere.
2nd you said ((And turn of NDR to the internet)) where to do that from?
3rd how can i make me Exchange server responsible on POP3 and SMTP actions??where can i define my ISP pop3 and SMTP in the exchange?
Thank you very much

It should send a copy of any undeliverable email to the account you specified.
You should also check the badmail folder, to see if it get in there, which it should not when you intercept them.

To disable NDR and others to the internet:
System Manager - Internet Message Format - Default - properties -Advanced. Un-check all the Allow... fields.

hi marcs41,
thank you ,I have un-checked all allow and disable NDR, but eventhough I still gettin the undelivery Report on my default email !!
I'm not getting the original message!! is that right??

other thing where can I define the POP3 and SMTP of my ISP to make my Exchange server connect to them to bring emails to my default email address!!!
thank you very much

you have to uncheck deliver to both ...

For POP3 you need something like which is really good and can retrieve multiple accounts plus has optional Anti-Virus.
