I am trying to find out tips on installing/terminating the bonded UTP cabling. I have a tough time separating a pair enough to fit it over the stuffer block. Seems like they over-engineered this cabling, if it is so hard to make a gap in the pair then the installers are going to resort to untwisting too much cable and compromising the termination.

Any tips??

I had the joy of working with bonded cable for the first time recently.

I tried a Paladin 1901 first, which was kinda cheesy cuz the insulator builds up inside the tool.

I had better luck with the Belden 1797B tool.

Others have mentioned using splicer's snips to straighten out the cable.

Have fun!
