Has anyone heard of this ?

Thanks

dforney, how come you're only showing one conductor of the illusive cat8? Don't you know that it has 4 pairs, for an O.D. of 3.75 inches! Just enough to get it inside that pesky 4" conduit and keep that 99.6% fill ratio!

AND EVEN BETTER... you can use it either for transmission, or as backup dead end guy strand!

CAT-8 cable is what they are planning on using to connect to the power grid for broadband over powerlines.

So instead of using CAT patch panels I can just use AC extension cords from Home Depot? YEAH!

This thread is going horribly astray! :)

For the control status of equipment for submersible vehicles, see:
Category 5, Part 2 "Information Security" for encrypted communication equipment;
Category 6 for sensors;
Categories 7 and 8 for navigation equipment;
Category 8.A. for underwater equipment

There is some serious excessive capacitance between the ear plates amongst the peanut gallery hearabouts. I suggest recalibration with whisky and cat hairballs.
