Cat 2820 firmware 1

My Catalyst 2820 is telling me that my firmware is invalid. I tried to xmodem the version that you can download from Cisco's website (ver 9.00.04), but it won't take it. I think my switch can only take the 5.x version. Does anybody know where I can get a copy of that firmware, or maybe someone has it and can e-mail it to me.

What is the exact error message you are receiving? Please paste the message in this window. I will have a look at it for you and then tell you what you can do.

And when I try to do an xmodem upgrade, the transfer fails.

I have also posted a thread regarding this problem and I am too after the firmware for a 2820.

Pleae help.......is there an ftp site that this is available from apart from CCO.

If you are looking for the original software for a catalyst 2820.(version 5.x) Go to the cisco web site, but you will need to login with your cisco account. The original software are not display to general public.
