While trying to transfer and batch from cash book to general ledger this error occurred

"No detail were found for batch 1782, entry 1"
"The cash book batch has not been updated to general ledger because it has failed the general ledger verification process. the transaction remain in the cash book GL listing


i have check the cash book batch and i dont have a batch 1782 what can i do to resolve this

1. Service Packs ?
2. Ensure that the account numbers involved are active in the GL.
3. Ensure you have created the correct source codes in the GL.

We are running ERP500 5.5
This week our users began experiencing issues when reversing deposits in Peresoft Cashbook. That had been logged with them before and the advice was to try in Bank Services.

We tried this and got "fiscal Period 07 locked" So in our test environment we opened that period (just as a check) and then got fiscal period 03 locked ...and so on.

I cannot believe that one would have to do this in any case as this goes against accepted accounting practice.

does anyone have any ideas? It is - of course - month end!

Open all periods, reverse and then close the periods.
Upgrade to 5.6, this does not have the same quirk.

Thanks for the info. That is in the pipeline.

I am concerned that opening the periods will cause issues in the financials. We are looking at a customer whose db is 98gb.

We do not have any downtime as they run 24/7/365 so we run the risk that someone may process into the previous period. This is also a listed company so we cannot modify previous fiancials.

It doesn't affect the financials unless you actually reverse them in the previous periods. Just pay attention to the dates and periods on the screen. The risk is infinitesimal.

If it is such a big concern then kick all users out of Accpac while you do that.

Think that's the best bet. Won't go down well there as there are 166 users involved but I think that's the way to go.
