Cascading prompts with multiple selections from source prompt

I have a source prompt, which lets a user select more than one option. Based on the selections, additional cascading prompts show up so user can select additional criteria before running the reports.

For example, I have a report which shows account type, cycle, and account number. There are many account types. Each account type has multiple cycles. When user runs the report, they must choose one or more account type (this is the source prompt). If account type 1 is chosen, then cycle prompt shows the values specifically for that account type (cascading prompt). This is where the user can select multiple cycles for this account type 1, then run the report.

Cascading prompt option only seems to work where the user is only allowed to select ONE option from the source prompt.

I'm baffled.

Source prompt needs to be set to multiselect and prompt page needs a reprompt button to signal when selection is complete in the source prompt.

I did try this approach and it didn't seem to work.

The only other thing I can think of: are you using "in" in the filter of the second query rather than "="?
If so, then I'm baffled too.
