Carrier transitions and interface resets???

Hi ALL

TO ALL CISCO GEEKS

I am new to cisco so it wud be a very silly question i know but plz help

What does carrier transition anf interface resets mean in cisco router show interface sirial command

What r the main causes of then bieg incrememted.And whats the remedy for that??

Hi Shyam

This is usually due to the line to which your interface is connected having a problem. Contact your telco.

I will try not to take being called GEEK too personally!

Have your Telco run a BERT on their circuit all the way to the smart jack and make sure it runs clean. I assume this is a T1.

Hi Guys

i dnt have a telco .I am supposed to start giving solutions based on cisco.I have worked on memotec FRADs and my company is now comtemplating using cisco.So i am doing R&D with a few cisco routers (1700).

So plz help
