Hello,
We have a remote site that keeps going down (3 times in the last 2 weeks)and the fix has been force downloading of the remote carrier interface card by the vendor...

- They suspect a faulty remote card, do you guys agree?

- Generally, how does one know which card is in trouble in any particular PBX?

- I know how enable and disable given the card info, but how does one force download?

Thanks

Its been awhile since I have worked with one, but take a look at the channels of the card, and make sure that they are enabled. I had this problem, and it turned out to be the carrier. Too many LOS_Frame would cause it to burp. On my carrier remote, I had a dumb terminal, attached to the card to reset it. Do you have a terminal for that card?

i've got a ton of those, have the t1 stress tested, off line required, and/or go into the mmi mode and do a loop test. could be either end, but i usually find a dirty t1 span

Make sure the local CSU is set to recover clock from the PBX and the remote site is set to recover clock from the network. Sometimes CSUs go into free run when the circuit goes down.
