Hi,

I'm thinking about a career shift right now and would like to eventually become a PM.

I'm looking at project coordinator jobs right now to start off since I don't have any PM experience and it seems like at this point experience is more important than having PMI certification- am I correct? I am thinking of taking the classes now (while I have the time and money) even without the project coordinator position yet.

Also seems like there are no entry level PM jobs and that project coordinator type positions is the first step? Can someone verify this for me?

Just stuck in a bit of a rut and wanting some guidance/advice.

Thanks.

Getting involved in the various phases of a project can lead to getting the entire project. So, consider Business Analysis, App and DB Design, Software Development, Testing, etc.

Why dodn't you attend some PM courses?
I believe you will know plenty of information and useful tips on who the project coordinator is and what the basic duties are.

Good Luck!
