Card to extend distance for digital phones

How is it possible to extend the distance for a digital phone to operate. Right now I believe the NT8D02GA card's distance is 3000ft. I have an office that is hoping to relocate but the distance is 9500 ft. Switch is a CS1000M CP IV Release 4.5.

If you have data at that location a VoIP phone would be a good solution.

No we don't have VoIP phone just the regular 2616 and 2008 phones.

Are you saying that if we buy VoIP phones then that would work.

I have used MCK Extenders in the past, they work very well. You could also do a Remote Office with a Reach Line Card and either 9115's or a 9150.

Reach Line Cards and the 9150, using IP for the site-to-site would be your easiest. They are pretty reasonably priced and basically emulate a DLC. The only thing that you will need to consider is the number of simultaneous calls and have the desired number of DSPs on both sides.

FOLLOWING IS A GUIDE TO THE MAXIMUM LENGTH OF
CABLE TO BE USED:-

REN 1/2..............11.4 KILOMETRES

REN 3.................10.25 KILOMETRES

REN 4.................6.8 KILOMETRES

REN 5.................4 KILOMETRES

PLEASE NOTE :: THESE FIGURES ARE FOR THE LINE LOOP
SO FOR EXAMPLE,AN EXTN WITH A REN OF 5 SHOULD NOT
BE FITTED MORE THAN 2 KILOMETRES FROM THE EQUIPT.

R = p.l/a

where R = resistance
p = resistivity ( copper is 17.2 x 10 to the power -9 )
l = length in metres
a = cross sectional area of the conducter ( metre sq )

For Aries type set:
Digital set loop resistance must be below 175 ohms. (approx 3000 ft)

The problem these days is guaranteeing point-to-point metallic lines over that distance over provider facilities.

Sorry for not getting back earlier.....anyway pass info to management and I recommend to get the RLC with the RO 9150. Does anyone know what the price is for these items, new and where can I order them from. Found a few on web but never got any reply from companies concerning price.
