I am new to web development and I am designing a website for car sales. I need the users to be able to add and remove photos from the site however am not sure whether dreamweaver can just do that alone or if I need to use something else. Any pointers as to where to start from will be most welcome.

You'll probably be looking for an Image Gallery and Upload script which DW as far as i know cannot do on ts own.

However you'll need to first find out what server side language is available to you and is supported by the web server that will host the page, and then Google for a script in that language.

Ignorance is not necessarily Bliss, case in point:
Unknown has caused an Unknown Error on Unknown and must be shutdown to prevent damage to Unknown.

Take a look at Adobe Contribute.
It will give your users direct access to the site as you might get through DW where they can see the web page as is and edit pics and text etc.
If you build the site in DW using templates it even gives them the ability to create a new page from that template.
Would depend on how much access you want to give of course.
