Hello!

We're looking at configuring a fax server and we already have Comtrol RocketModems that we'd like to keep using. We're researching Captaris' RightFax solution but we see that the manufacturer does not list the RocketModem as supported. I know that y'all are a clever bunch and was wondering if anyone had made RightFax work with the Comtrol modems and, if so, how?

Thanks in advance!!

Lots of software manufacturers don't support the RocketModem because it uses the Rockwell AT command set. If they have manually coded any of the appropriate fax commands for the Agere/Lucent command set, then it is possible that there will be incompatibilities. For some reason, USRobotics and Rockwell (now Conexant) chose a slightly modified command set for some of the more esoteric commands. But if your application uses those commands, it simply won't work with another manufacturer's chipset.

Sorry!

Not a worry :)

We decided to go with 2Point's Messenger suite. Works great! :)
