Loaded some of my MDSN subscription updates (got behind on it).
Now I have the same VBScript.dll version.

And it works.....

(shame on me: such an expensive subscription with all of the lastest OSs and programming tools and not keeping my systems up-to-date).

Anyways, yes, it is narrowed down to that script version which was causing the problem.

Even though I am not excited about a function that does just this type of operation, I am excited about using this unknown-to-me-until-now feature elsewhere and, as I said months ago, getting into/learning using RegExp more/better -
guess too much other work, and maybe spending too much time in the forums, has prevented it up till now.

Enjoy...yes. Thanks strongm.
