Have you tried reading the file with low level functions, FOpen,FRead,FReadstr?

thanks for the advise but fopen only returns a range from 0 65,535 and cuts the rest of the string off -- thanks again any additional help will be greatly appreciated [sig][/sig]

Do you use this:

split your memo field on N parts

FOpen //the file you used
FRead // to read a block of max 64 k or less
Fclose
