CANT USE FORMULA FROM TABLE NOT IN SELECTED

All,

I have a very simple report that displays one table of information but is filter by using a simple formula which checks for value of a field in another table. However, when I put this filter into place using the Records Expert nothing is generated.
I'm very confused.

It sounds like none of your records are meeting the criteria of your formula. Make sure the links between the 2 tables are correct. List the whole table to make sure there are rows on the table which will make it through your formula. Place the formula used in the filter onto the the detail band and remove the filter or use a different field for the filter temporarily. This will show you if there are any values that exist that meet your criteria. If you don't get any values at all for the formula, then you probably have no links, or incorrect links.
