Can't use formula field in chart

I have a formula field I want to use as the value in
a line chart, but when I try to use it the values come
up as all zeros.

The formula field is in a group footer and is a division calculation based on 2 running totals, also in the same group footer.

Formula Field = RunningTotal1/RunningTotal2

I've tried everything, but nothing works. Is it even possible? Thanks in advance.

There are limits on what fields can be used in charting.
There are lots of variables but if you want some help you need to post:
The version of CR
The chart settings you are using

Ken,
After clicking everywhere, I believe you are correct.
I have, however, found a workaround. The database I am
using to report from is my own, so I just did this:

1. Exported the summarized values to a new table
in my database on SQL Server, which I can refresh
periodically with the CrysalDesk report scheduler 2.0.
(This is working well for me, thanks for THAT tip.)

2. Used the new table to develop my chart in a separate
report.

3. Added the separate report as a sub-report in the main
report.

Wow! Did you get all that? Kind of cumbersome, but it works. Thanks for the reassurance on chart limitations. Do you know if there are any chart enhancements in 8.5? Thanks Ken!
