Can't use any Style Options without QE 4.1 quitting or locking up

I have a G3 Mac with Quark 4.1. Up until a year ago my style options all worked fine. We then got a G4 also and about3 months after that the style options on the G4 quit working. About 6 months after that the style options on the G3 wouldn't work without Quark quitting or locking up. I've ran virus scans and can't find anything. I've even reinstalled Quark. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks.

What OS? also is it 4.1 or 4.11 (there was a fixit download for 4.11)? Does it happen at all screen views - 100% 400% and so on, or only at the odd screen view when using the zoom tool from fit in window (such as 262.6%)?

We have OS 9.2 and Quark 4.11. It locks up my computer no matter what percentage I view it at. Thanks.

Did you trash Q4 prefs? System Folder/Preferences

You migh also take a look for any corrupted fonts, especially if Q4 crashed.quit out with any fonts in a document. If you don't have a paid for font fixer, check to see if You don't have Font First Aid from Apple.

I agree with jmgalvin. Also, is it just when trying to apply styles from the measurements palette, or if you would highlight something and use the key commands or from the menu bar?

It's just when I go to the Styles Palette at the top of the screen. We did buy Font Doctor a while back and it red flagged a bunch of fonts which we did get rid of. This isn't a huge problem, just kinda annoying. If I want to vertically or horizontally scale any fonts I have to go to Illustrator and do it. Thanks for the posts!

Mac os 10.4,quark 5 Ican't get all the fonts in the system to be available in the font drop-down list. I AM USING OS 9 and the fonts I want show properly in the font book.
