Can't update office 2003

Trying to use Microsoft's Auto Updating from the msoffice website and the update bombs out at 40% everytime, telling me I am either not an administrator (I am) or missing some of the installation files. I can't reinstall from the CD because it is an upgrade CD and won't let me reinstall. Anyone have any ideas (that don't include hosing the computer and starting from nothing) just so I can update with Microsoft's patches?

Go to Microsoft's website.

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads

Manually download the updates you need. This should work for you.

Are you able to use Microsoft Windows Update service to install and updates to your Operating System? Also are you logged in as Administrator on your computer?
