Can't transfer calls 1

Can't transfer calls from one ext to another ext. Used to work but no longer working. As far as I know, it's on all lines. Phones are M3903. "Trans" appears on second soft key. We can press "Trans" and dial ext. Phone rings, "Trans" changes to "Connect." "Connect" disappears when person answers...unable to transfer.

What software version are you?. I've found this below

When a call is made or received on a Tarus set and the user attempts to transfer the call by depressing the TRN key, the call is placed on HOLD (music on hold is heard) but the 3903/3904 set does not get the stutter dial tone only silence, the display shows Held Xfer and the call cannot be transfered.
BUG0095 produced.
When the set is in an IDLE state, call trace in LD80 shows the TRN key to be activated with no ORIG/TERM DN.

Fit Patch 15613 merged with 12035 to form 16837 rls 25.15 only

Unable to transfer calls from M3903 telephone.
SHIFT KEY on telephone was still operated (causing DN KEY to be inoperative). Pressing SHIFT KEY and then using transfer was now OK

SHIFT KEY when operated becomes locked until pressed again.

The following versions of up-issued firmware for the M3900 series of digital phones are now Generally Available:
M3903 version 9.0
M3904 version 9.3
M3905 version 9.3 version 9.4 now being shipped on Rls 7.5 sites

Important Note for upgrades to CS1000 rls 6

It is recommended for all CS1000 customers upgrading to rls 6.0 to have their M3900 sets upgraded to the latest firmware version prior to the core upgrade. Failing to do so will cause problems with M3900 sets during Transfer call scenarios.
A fix for CR (Q01805423-01: 390x during a transfer call have no 'Conf' softkey) was introduced, this fix
contains changes in both core and Taurus firmware, if CS1000 system is upgraded to rls 6.0 without upgrading M3900 sets then during the transfer scenario, after the second leg of the call is answered the connect key will not appear.

We have had this happen on several sytems after upgrading. The firmware on the 3900 series phones has to be upgraded and then the "connect" key will start working

Thanks for your info. After reading posts, decided to call TelCo. They patched all phones with a firmware update. We are now able to transfer calls.
