I have Installed partion magic to resize the partition
when i apply & restart no operation carried out.
But just restart & shoed me the startup option normal ,safemode...
When i select normal i get message it running in dos mode you want to switch to windows press enter ok or or esc to stay. if i press enter to switch to window still i get the same message i have tried several time & restart the program but can't.
Only i can start in safe mode.
i want to try selective startup but progressive autoexec.bat
& config.sys is disabled so i can't remove it for selective startup.
Any suitable suggestion is higly appreciated

Did it work ok, before using PM?
Try from C:\ (use 'Safe Mode Command Prompt Only')
type SCANREG /RESTORE
hit Enter
choose a "Started" version dated from Before the bad things happened.

I'm not familar with Partion Magic but,

Can you create a startup disk in safe mode?
Can you use fdisk to view the partions?
Did you try fdisk /mbr ?

It's a bird! It's a plane! No, it's an OS update patch! Ahh!!
